I don’t have much to say about Hue, other than it sounds like “whey” and not “hue” as in a color. It was a pleasant place to walk around with wide tree-lined avenues, big colonial-style buildings, and these pink lotus lanterns that we saw here and there in celebration of Vesak Day. Equally magnificent, though contrasting the colonial simplicity with imperial decor was the old walled royal city. Here’s a couple of my favorite details:
