We traveled to 34 countries across 4 continents, over 20 months.
Our trip began with a one-month blitz through Europe, visiting France, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Estonia, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, and Turkey. We stayed in a couple of these countries for a week, while we spent less than a day in a couple others.(July 2007)
The next five months were spent in South Asia, between India, Nepal, and the Maldives. This was definitely the roughest and most adventurous of our travels.(August 2007- November 2007)
We then spent six months all over South East Asia, taking in Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, and Vietnam. If we had to pick a peak for our entire trip, it’d be the Thailand/Malaysia/Indonesia segment.(December 2007- May 2008)
After SEA, we spent six weeks in China, then six weeks visiting/traveling the US, followed by a month between Korea and Japan. This was an amazing four months of relaxing travel and meeting up with friends at home and abroad.(June 2008- September 2008)
We wrapped up our trip with four months in South America. We simply followed the Andes from Argentina to Chile, Bolivia, Peru, and finally Ecuador. We also stopped in Hawaii for a couple weeks before returning home.(September 2008- January 2009)
