Today we went to the Forbidden City. This place is HUGE. It covers over 1 million square meters; we walked through two or three gates before even getting to the place where they sell tickets for the main entrance. Tall and thick red walls surround various sections within the compound, and setting an intimidating (and detached) tone to this former home of the emperors.

On the other hand, practicing precision and intimidation (but really just provoking giggles from Matt and I) were these soldier perfecting their moves in front of this big mirror.
