The three of us plus Josh’s friend, Ayako, visited Nagasaki today.  There is a museum there about the events leading up to, during, and after the dropping of an atomic bomb on this city.  As expected, it was mostly sad and frustrating that there were people in power who thought using such a weapon was a good idea.  I don’t mean to gloss over all the things the Japanese did during WWII that were messed up too.  War in general is frustrating for its senseless side, from both sides of the fighting.  Rather than spending time recounting the information at the museum, here’s a few pictures around the impact site and memorial area.
